Skilled Migration Streams
Subclass 189 — Skilled Independent
No employer or state sponsor needed. Requires a high points score (65+) and a positive skills assessment from the relevant assessing authority.
Subclass 190 — State Nominated
Sponsored by an Australian state or territory. Adds 5 bonus points to your score. Must commit to living in the nominating state for 2 years.
Subclass 491 — Regional Nominated
For regional areas. Adds 15 bonus points. After 3 years living and working regionally, eligible for Subclass 191 permanent residency.
